Frequently Asked Questions

  • Session fees are $250 for individual sessions and $300 for couples sessions.

On our initial phone consultation, I am happy to verify your out-of-network benefits and talk you through the out-of-network reimbursement process. Many PPO plans offer significant out-of-network benefits that cover a large portion of our work together.

To make the process as seamless as possible, I submit superbills directly to your insurance company on your behalf, saving you the administrative hurdle of seeking reimbursement.

I also accept HSA and FSA cards for payment. Using these tax-advantaged accounts is a great way to reduce your out-of-pocket healthcare costs.

  • At this time, I am only providing telehealth sessions via a HIPAA compliant virtual platform. If you are interested in attending in-person sessions in NYC, let me know as I will have in-person availability soon in Manhattan.

  • I am in network with most commercial Aetna plans and Aetna Student Health plans.

I am an out of network provider for all other insurance plans.

Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits and you may still receive reimbursement for our sessions even if I am out-of-network. Out-of-network benefits for therapy reimburse on average 70% of the session cost.

  • Yes, I offer a sliding scale, meaning a reduced rate for self pay clients who are financially not able to afford the full fee.

While I only have a limited amount of sliding scale spots available, I encourage you to reach out and inquire about sliding scale rates if you are interested in working with me but are not able to afford the full session fee.

  • All sessions must be canceled or rescheduled no later than 24 hours in advance to avoid a late cancellation or no show fee.

  • To ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes, new clients will always be booked on a weekly cadence.

Bi-weekly appointments are not recommended until clients have made significant progress in therapy. Upon completion of therapy goals, clients may “graduate” and terminate regular therapy sessions. Monthly or as-needed sessions are not typically recommended but may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Some clients may prefer to meet twice a week, but may have to pay out-of-pocket as insurance companies may not cover multiple sessions per week.

  • I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of successful treatment. Sometimes a different clinical style or specialized approach may be a better match for your needs—and that’s okay. If at any point you feel we aren’t the right fit, I encourage you to let me know and I will gladly provide appropriate referrals.
