Hi, I’m Idil! I’m a psychotherapist licensed in New York and New Jersey.

I specialize in treating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and relationship issues. I also focus on working with first-generation Americans and children of immigrants.

I help clients move past the noise of a restless mind so they can deepen their relationships and lead a more intentional life.

Therapy for anxiety and OCD: from what if? to what matters.

You may be constantly thinking through worst-case scenarios, letting your anxiety impact your relationships, your work, and your capacity for joy. Over-thinking, ruminating and doubting yourself can cause so much suffering. Perfectionism and always trying to “get it right” can start to feel like agony. But it doesn’t have to be this way; anxiety and OCD are both highly treatable with the right interventions.

If constant worry has become your new normal and “just not thinking about it” isn't working, it may be time to try a new approach. I use evidence-based modalities to help clients overcome their anxiety, perfectionism and intrusive thoughts. The goal of these approaches is to help you recognize and challenge your anxious thoughts, so you can live a life grounded in your values instead of getting stuck on the “what ifs?”
